Make sure your roster/certifications are complete, using link on that page.

If you need to add a player or coach temporarily for this tournament,
print out the Roster for Tournament Check-In and write the additions and
submit to Tournament Director / Site Director when you arrive at the tournament.

Specific tournament details may be distributed
at the tournament, if the Tournament Director feels that it is necessary.

ADMISSION
Admission into the facility will be $5

Anyone under the age of 12 is free.

CASH ONLY (exact change is appreciated)

 

FORMAT
Door opens at 7:00am. There will be a mandatory coach meeting at 7:30am near the stage in the main gym. Officials are required to be present. Play starts at 8:00am.  

Pool play is the best of 3 sets with rally scoring. Each non-deciding set will be to 25 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap.) The deciding set, if needed, will be to 15 points with a minimum two-point advantage (no scoring cap.)

Teams will officiate according the above schedule for pool play.

All teams advance. All teams must be ranked within their pools based on match percentage first. For any ties, use the tie-breaking procedure below. Top 8 teams will advance to the Gold playoffs and remaining four team will advance to silver playoffs. 

Courts 1-2 (Main Gym- Gold Bracket) & Court 3 (Auxilary Gym located upstairs- Silver Bracket)

 

Prizes will be awarded to 1stplace and 2ndplace in Gold.

 

WARM UPS/ BALLS

Coaches will be responsible for providing their own balls and cart for team warms ups.

All warm-ups will use the 2-4-4 format; 2-minutes shared court, 4-minutes Serving Team, 4-minutes Serve Receiving team. Teams may request the referee to tell them when to serve, usually one minute.

 

CAMPING 

Player’s bags and equipment are not allowed in the competition area nor will teams be allowed to camp in the competition area. The designated camping area will be marked upon arrival. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN CAMP AREA.

BALL HANDLING IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE OTHER THAN IN THE GYM/ PLAY AREA

 

CONCESSIONS

A concession stand with a variety of foods (breakfast, lunch, & snacks) are available at the tournament site.

FOOD & BEVERAGES NOT ALLOWED IN GYM. PLEASE EAT IN CAFETERIA!

CASH ONLY CONCESSIONS!

NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED. 

Coolers are prohibited in and outside facilities hosting OVR-sanctioned events. 

Setting up tables and/or cooking by teams or their support staff, fans, coaches, or parents are prohibited at OVR-sanctioned events.

 

SEATING

Spectators will be required to bring their own chairs with a designated area for setting. Due to limited spectator space in the competition area, we ask when your team is not playing to congregate in the large cafeteria area available.
