News: Registration for the 2009-2010 Season

• Registration is open professional officials, juniors' club staff, adults' teams, and unaffiliated tournament directors. Other registration categories will open soon.
• Registration changes and emphases for the 2009-2010 season:

  » USA Volleyball requires legal names for for all members. Nicknames are not permitted.

  » All juniors' club staff USA Volleyball Juniors' Club Personnel Code of Ethics. (This replaces previous years' Juniors' Coaches' Code of Ethics, which was required only for coaches.)

  » Members' registrations must be complete before they can participate in OVR-sanctioned activity. If players show up who are not fully registered, the tournament director must collect their registration forms and fees before they play. A fee of $5 per member may be assessed for this transaction.

  » All adults who work in any way with juniors must be background screened. No other type of background screen is transferable for this purpose.

• Registrations for which fees and forms are not received within 10 days will be canceled.
• Registrations must be complete, including successful completion of background screening, before application for sanction of juniors' tournaments or tryouts.
• Background screening requires at least 7 business days after the OVR receives the consent form and fee.
• Verbal commitments by players or parents to clubs are not binding. Commitments must be in writing: e-mail, written note, payment by check or cash (receipt required), or signed contract are binding to both parties for that season.
• Clubs bordering the Ohio Valley and Keystone Regions may continue to register in the region of their choice. Tournaments must be sanctioned with the region in which the tournaments are located.
• Each club must have one director. One or more assistant directors can also be registered.
